Land Management Services

George Baird
Owner & Land Manager,

George grew up on a cotton farm in Sunflower County, Mississippi, with dreams of eventually becoming a farmer like his father and grandfather. His course changed, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Economics from Mississippi State University in 1993. George founded Landmark Ag Capital LLC, located in Arlington, TN, and has a wide range of clientele including everyone from sole farm owners to large investment companies. George’s proudest professional accomplishment was achieved in 2006 when he was selected Farm Manager of the Year by Syngenta, Ag Professional magazine, and ASFMRA.

Use Fundamentals Plus an Algorithm for Crop Marketing

John Roach

Roach Ag

John Roach grew up on a family farm near Carlisle, Iowa. He began his career in grain marketing in 1973 and founded Roach Ag Marketing in Perry, Iowa in 1978. For the last 45 years, John has dedicated his career to helping farmers improve their business practices in the areas of crop marketing, hedging, retirement savings, and tax planning. Thousands of farmers rely on Roach Ag’s Daily Grain Plan and Sell Signals as a key component in their crop marketing plans. A growing number are reducing their tax rates by taking advantage of the “Roach Ag Final Five” tax savings program. Roach Ag has been headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida since 2001 and has 6 offices across the Midwest.

Using Drones for Application

Danny Assman
Partner,
Terraplex Ag

I grew up on the same small farm in Earling Iowa where I live today with my wife Leslie and two boys Lucas (9) and Marshall (5). We farm and feed cattle. I went to Iowa State University where I got my bachelors in Animal Science and then worked as a commodity trader for 14 years. I started farming six years ago on the family farm. Bought my first spray drone two years ago and started a company called Iowa Aerial Applicators which became Terraplex Ag.  I love everything about the drone business from the value they bring to the entire supply chain (farmers, applicators, ag chemical companies, landowners, non-farming neighbors) as much as the fact that my two young sons think drones are the coolest thing in the world. My hobbies are farming, feeding cattle, and going to kids' sports games.
