Peoples Company Welcomes Doug Hodge To The Appraisal Team

Hodge joins Peoples Company to provide leadership and mentoring to the appraisal team.
 

Peoples Company recently announced the hiring of Doug Hodge, ARA, MAI as the Director of Appraisal. Mr. Hodge, who has been involved in the valuation of agricultural assets since 1983, adds vast senior-level expertise to Peoples Company’s growing team.

“There are few people in our industry who match Doug’s industry knowledge and relationships. Doug has broad expertise working across a variety of complex agricultural assignment types throughout the country. Adding Doug to the Peoples Company team not only allows us to continue our exceptional growth, but it broadens our expertise and provides mentorship for the entire appraisal team,” said Peoples Company President Steve Bruere.

Doug Hodge formerly held the position of Vice President - Chief Appraiser at International Farming Corporation (IFC), where he was responsible for the valuation of farmland investments and appraisal review for global agricultural assets held by IFC. He has also held the position of Vice President of Appraisal Services for Nuveen Global Asset Management and Sr. Director for TIAA-CREF and was responsible for the appraisal review of Nuveen/TIAA’s global agricultural portfolio. Before joining Nuveen, he was the regional appraisal manager for the eastern U.S. for Farmers National Company (FNC). Before joining FNC in 2007, he owned his own valuation firm in Lapeer, Michigan. Doug is the current immediate past president of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) and has held other positions with ASFMRA and the Great Lakes Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Throughout his career, he has prepared appraisal reports for various purposes including lending, litigation, eminent domain, business valuations, and others.
