Weekly Auction Results: 11/5/23-11/11/23

November is historically the busiest time of year for public auctions, and 2023 is no exception. The week of November 5, 61 tracts were auctioned in Iowa, 20 in Illinois, 15 in Minnesota, and 10 in Nebraska.

Tracts Sold: 61
Average $/Acre: $11,970
Average $/Tillable: $13,816
Average $/CSR2: $180
% Change from Q3: -1%

There were multiple farms that sold for over $20,000 per acre:
Chickasaw County, Iowa had an 80.89-acre cropland farm sell for $26,000/acre or $301/CSR2; Dubuque County, Iowa had a 91.55-acre cropland farm sell for $20,200/acre or $321/CSR; and two tracts of a four-tract auction in Warren County, Illinois sold for $22,700/acre ($/CSR2 is not applicable in Illinois).

The rest of 2023 is predicted to be just as busy, with over 180 tracts on the calendar through December in Iowa alone.
